Trustee Vacancies

Have you ever thought of joining Craigie’s Education and Environment Project as a trustee?

We are seeking new trustees to join our existing board of trustees.

Being a trustee is a fantastic way to support CEEP and to help shape its future.

Our board is made up of individuals who have a variety of skills and experiences, helping us to deliver our vision of creating an inclusive educational and environmentally sustainable community garden and facilities.

While trustees play a role in all aspects of the charity, we are particularly keen to hear from candidates who would be interested in one of the following positions.

Chairperson – will have the responsibility of managing the board and overseeing decisions. Have a willingness to represent the charity at functions, fundraisers and community events. Be able to work with trustees and participants to ensure steady growth and sustainability of CEEP.

Treasurer – will carry out the charity’s financial responsibilities; ensuring finances are appropriately managed, ensuring that finances comply with relevant laws and regulations, preparing financial accounts and presenting accounts at board meetings.

Marketing Trustee – responsible for marketing and positive promotion of the charity, ensuring that charity website and social media accounts are kept up to date.

General Trustees – enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest in promoting inclusion, health & wellbeing and community activities. Ability to bring and share new ideas that will enable CEEP to develop their areas of work further.

All positions are voluntary and will require attendance at the AGM and board meetings throughout the year.

To apply for any of the above trustee positions please send an expression of interest and reference to which role you are hoping to fill, of no more than 2 pages, by end of day on Sunday 13th March  2021.

If you have any questions about your application or would like to speak to someone before applying please email the secretary, Anna Morson at secretary@craigiesproject.org.uk.

Winning Beekeeper

One of CEEP’s long standing participants, Barbara Agnew, has won First Prize in the Edinburgh and Midlothian Beekeeper’s Association 2020 Honey Show.

A budding photographer Barbara entered two photographs into the Photographic competition and was delighted to secure first prize.

Barbara has been involved in the CEEP charity; volunteering within the gardens and bee apiaries. Barbara and her camera are regular visitors to the two CEEP bee apiaries located at Craigie’s Farm & Deli.

Despite the current setbacks due to Coronavirus, Barbara was able to take the winning photographs at the CEEP apiaries gaining first prize and a beautiful trophy, Barbara describes winning the competition as a great 2020 souvenir. Barbara has also kindly donated her book token prize to be spent on bee keeping books for the CEEP library.

We at CEEP congratulate Barbara on her achievement and thank her for the generous donation. We wish Barbara all the best for her future ventures within the CEEP charity.
