It’s been all about the poly tunnels recently. The large polytunnel, which we share with Craigie’s Farm has been tidied and is ready for planting. The foundations for the 2 smaller poly tunnels, to be located inside the CEEP gardens, have been dug.We are hoping to have the gardens open and ready after Easter. Unfortunately due to Covid CEEP will not be selling any plants or hanging baskets this year. On a positive note we have started our garden renovations and the potting shed has been relocated. We hope to have the rest of the renovations completed as soon as possible. This is taking longer than planned due to lockdown and Covid restrictions and we are sorry for any inconvenience. I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas. Here at CEEP we have collated all responses from our renovation initial idea. After reviewing the feedback we have changed the position of one of the potting sheds. One of the sheds will be located at the top of the garden, near the entrance. Please find the final revised renovation plan below. The shed is hoping to be in place in the next couple of days. Just received the latest Spotlight Magazine and didn't even know this existed! Only lived in Dalmeny/Ferry all my life 🙈 fantastic facility for the children to learn in and get hands on. Winning BeekeeperOne of CEEP’s long standing participants, Barbara Agnew, has won First Prize in the Edinburgh and Midlothian Beekeeper’s Association 2020 Honey Show.A budding photographer Barbara entered two photographs into the Photographic competition and was delighted to secure first prize.Barbara has been involved in the CEEP charity; volunteering within the gardens and bee apiaries. Barbara and her camera are regular visitors to the two CEEP bee apiaries located at Craigie’s Farm & Deli.Despite the current setbacks due to Coronavirus, Barbara was able to take the winning photographs at the CEEP apiaries gaining first prize and a beautiful trophy, Barbara describes winning the competition as a great 2020 souvenir. Barbara has also kindly donated her book token prize to be spent on bee keeping books for the CEEP library.We at CEEP congratulate Barbara on her achievement and thank her for the generous donation.
